When investing in natural stone, many issues and concerns can occur for a homeowner. This particular project is a perfect example of PROSHIELD’s custom capabilities and the film's ability to become a multi-purpose solution.
After hearing about countertop protection film and PROSHIELD’s bespoke product through friends, these clients were committed before they even chose their marble. Knowing that the majority of their kitchen was going to consist of delicate stone, countertop protection film became a necessity.
While in the designing stage, the clients got in contact with PROSHIELD’s team and shortly after, the project details were determined. During the initial conversation, PROSHIELD became the method for protecting the homeowners’ countertops, but also became the solution to an unexpected but ordinary concern; the finish of the stone.
The client wanted their kitchen to have matte countertops and stone accents but the Calcatta Monet marble they chose naturally comes in a polished, shiny finish. Rather than paying their fabricator to make the marble matte, they were recommended the honed film to both protect and alter the stone to the desired finish without paying for the additional service.
After two days of applying honed countertop protection film, the clients’ island, waterfalls, range countertops, backsplash, ledge, and hood vent surrounding space were all matte and completely protected.
